Brian founded Facet Technologies in 1989 and has 38 years of experience in the IT industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from Eastern Illinois University and an MBA from Bradley University, along with Cisco CCNA certification. Brian leads the company’s growth strategy and guides Facet’s adoption of emerging technologies, including AI implementation. Originally from Danville, Illinois, Brian has expanded Facet from a home-based startup to its first brick-and-mortar location in Pekin in 2001 and eventually to its current headquarters in Peoria. He is active in the community through his work with the Pekin Rotary Club and the Illinois Workforce Development Board.

Jason has been an integral part of Facet’s team since 1998, when he started as a computer repair intern. He is from Glasford and earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Eastern Illinois University while continuing to work at Facet through the summers. In his current role, Jason manages Facet’s day-to-day operations including service delivery, offering development, procurement and vendor relationships. He takes pride in working with the entire Facet team, including our technical, sales, marketing, software development, HR, repair bench and administrative teams in a cross-functional leadership capacity.

Trey has 12 years of technology and software industry account management expertise, and has been on Facet’s team since 2018. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris University and coaches the Illini Bluffs High School basketball team. Trey specializes in solving real technology challenges, and prides himself on becoming a true technology partner to our clients by helping organizations make smart long-term technology decisions that encourage growth.

Matt brings 21 years of IT expertise to our team, with 17 years at Facet. He is a Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Server Infrastructure, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified Professional, and Fortinet Certified Professional: Secure Networking. Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Saint Ambrose University. He was raised in Toluca and now calls Washington home. His specialties include complex problem solving, network and cloud engineering, cybersecurity, and project management.

Chris is a veteran of the Air Force and has 18 years of IT experience. He completed Cisco CCNA training at Illinois Central College and holds Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification. Chris is from Pekin, IL. He enjoys the variety of working with different industries and takes pride in helping people solve their technology challenges.

Phil has 9 years of IT experience. He earned his Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Network Administration from Illinois Central College in 2009 and holds Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification. Phil also completed the BNSF Railroad Signaling Fast-Track Program at Johnson County Community College. He excels at troubleshooting, diagnosing complex issues and developing reliable solutions. He was born in Kansas but considers Washington his hometown.

Tyler is a veteran of the Marine Corps and has five years of IT experience coordinating projects and resolving escalated support issues. He is from Mapleton and earned his bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and Network Management and holds Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) certification. Tyler works directly with clients on project timelines, milestones, and completion while handling complex help desk tickets.

Carl has three years of IT experience and holds Tech Fundamentals, CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certifications. Carl’s hometown is Peoria, and he enjoys solving unusual technical problems for our clients that don’t have obvious solutions.

Mason has two years of IT experience. His industry certifications include Cisco CCNA, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900), and LAN Technician. He earned an Associate in Arts and an Associate in Applied Science in Network Administration from Illinois Central College. Mason is from Bartonville and enjoys working directly with clients on-site and seeing how different businesses operate.

Sam has seven years of IT experience, having developed his skills through Facet’s internship program and hands-on training. Originally from Elmwood, he specializes in hardware support and enjoys building systems and diagnosing hardware issues most.

Ellie has 10 years of experience in IT marketing. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis. Ellie oversees Facet’s marketing and outreach, including digital and traditional strategy. She especially enjoys writing and creating content about cybersecurity and emerging technologies. Originally from Glasford, she now lives in Peoria.

Terry serves as the first point of contact for many Facet clients. She takes pride in providing personalized, local support, making sure every caller knows they’re talking to a real person who cares about solving their problem. Terry is originally from the Iron Range in Northern Minnesota and now lives in Morton. She holds a bachelor’s degree in History.

Boomer is a 14 year old chocolate lab who comes to work most days with Brian and Annette. His favorite part of his job is sleeping, but he can often be found taking a lap around the office to say hello.
